Diagnostic ultrasound
by HUMAN Dermatology
Real-time ultrasound imaging allows non-invasive assessment of the soft tissue and internal structures beneath the skin. Imaging modes such as B-mode and color Doppler show both the position of structures and information about blood flow. Different ultrasound probes can be connected depending on the purpose of the examination and the depth being observed. Its value lies in visualizing the location and depth of tissue that is difficult to assess by sight or palpation alone.
