A system that combines iontophoresis and sonophoresis to assist the delivery of topically applied ingredients. Iontophoresis uses a low-level electrical current and sonophoresis uses low-frequency ultrasound, each acting on the skin surface in a different way. Electrical and acoustic energy are delivered without puncturing or abrading the skin. The two delivery methods can be combined according to the product being used and the condition of the skin.
